Description

Position Purpose:

At Johnson Memorial Hospital the Wound Care Center located in Enfield, CT has been in operation since 2012 and conveniently located at our Enfield campus facilities. We provide each patient with an individual care plan backed by evidence-based clinical pathways that have been developed and refined through 20 years of proven care for over 4 million wounds.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate patient wounds including surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and skin tears
  • Perform wound dressings and debridement using sterile techniques.
  • Educate patients and families on wound care practices and infection prevention.

Required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school
  • Valid RN License in Connecticut

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • The ideal candidate will have two years of Medical Surgical or Wound Care experience in an inpatient care setting.
  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Work Schedule: Per Diem – Day Shift, Hours would be Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
